The two most\u00a0used foam\u00a0types in reusable\u00a0packaging\u00a0are Polyurethane and Polyethylene\u00a0foams. Polyurethane (PU and also called Polyester) \u2013 is a spongy\u00a0foam\u00a0like the consistency of\u00a0foam used\u00a0in pillows or mattress covers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Polyurethane is an elastic open-cell structure which provides a wide range of performance that is used in the protection of delicate and lightweight products that are sensitive to vibration. Polyethylene is a closed-cell, non-absorbent foam that is resistant to mildew, mold, rot and bacteria and is also resistant to chemicals. This foam provides excellent protection for both delicate and lighter weight products that require positioning and cushioning. This foam is available in a wide range of thicknesses, densities and colors. Recycled Polyethylene is one of the most commonly used foam packaging materials.<\/p>\n

We use dimensionally stable Polyurethane sheets that will not twist, warp, or bow. These sheets will also tolerate extreme cold or heat and retain excellent strength, stability and rigidity, even in extreme temperatures. Our polyurethane sheets are\u00a0 also highly resistant to most chemicals and solvents and don’t absorb water. They also will not rot, decompose or dissolve in subgrade applications.<\/p>\n

When we designed and constructed our ISO 7 Cleanroom (class 10,000) we utilized a well-conceived layout which enables air to move with uniform velocity and along parallel flow lines. We carefully designed and placed our workstations and machines in relation to the walls to achieve laminar flow. This reduces turbulence, which allows for the reduction of particle production and the introduction of microrganisms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Does the Cleanroom Run a Particulate-Monitoring System?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We employ a particulate monitoring system in our cleanroom that measures particulate levels at each workstation. We believe this extra level of testing ensures that products are packaged within acceptable particulate levels which allows for excursion correction before the product leaves the facility. This monitoring system allows us to make adjustments in real time if particulate levels rise so our packages always meet the OEM\u2019s quality inspections.<\/span><\/p>\n
